A la mémoire de Jean-Michel
L’équipe ADDMEDICA a la douleur de vous faire part du décès d'un des fondateurs de la société, Jean-Michel DERIPPE, survenu le 23 décembre 2007.
Cette disparition nous afflige profondément et nos pensées vont naturellement à son épouse et à ses trois enfants.
Jean-Michel reste très présent dans nos réflexions professionnelles. A chaque décision stratégique et à chaque réunion importante, nous nous demandons ce qu'il aurait dit ou voulu et nous sommes sûrs que cela nous aide.
Jean-Michel faisait profiter son entourage professionnel d'une personnalité solide fondée sur l'analyse rationnelle des évènements et aboutissant à de fortes convictions, qui toutefois donnaient toujours sa place à l'écoute de l'autre. Nous avons apprécié sa joie, sa bonne humeur et son sens de la célébration festive des évènements heureux. Il apportait aussi sa touche esthétique et artistique dans notre environnement professionnel qui en est généralement assez dépourvu. Il fournissait un énorme travail de manière méthodique et avec une fiabilité jamais prise en défaut. Il réfléchissait au long terme et construisait pour le long terme. Pour toutes ces raisons et mille autres, il nous manque terriblement.
Cela a été un privilège de le côtoyer pendant sept ans, tout d'abord comme collègue, puis comme associé et ami. Il apportait dans tout ce qu'il entreprenait un esprit de rigueur, un haut niveau d'exigence et en même temps beaucoup d'humilité et de pragmatisme face à l'inconnu. Empruntes d’humanisme, ses actions étaient toujours guidées par un profond sentiment de justice.
Lui-même touché à travers sa famille par des maladies que l’on dit orphelines, il était particulièrement sensible aux valeurs communes qui ont présidé à la fondation de notre entreprise et qui continuent d'en orienter la marche : lutte contre les maladies rares, respect de la personne humaine, souci d'apporter des réponses thérapeutiques utiles... L'histoire que nous avons commencée avec lui à travers la fondation du laboratoire ADDMEDICA perdurera et son souvenir tellement présent renforce notre détermination à continuer les combats de demain.
In Memory of Jean-Michel
It is with regret that the ADDMEDICA team has to inform you of the sad news of the death of one of the company founders, Jean-Michel DERIPPE, on 23rd December 2007. His death has deeply affected us and our thoughts and sympathy are with his wife and his three children at this time. Jean-Michel will remain ever present in our professional philosophy. At each strategic decision and at each important meeting, we will ask ourselves what he would have said or wished and we are sure that this will be of help to us. Jean-Michel will be remembered by his colleagues for his professionalism based on rational analysis of the facts, leading to strong convictions while, at the same time, listening to the views of others. We appreciated his joy, his sense of humour and his ability to celebrate happy occasions. He also brought his aesthetic and artistic touch to our working environment which, in general, were both sadly lacking. Jean-Michel worked very hard, was extremely organised and could always be relied upon. He was forward thinking and was planning for the long term. For these reasons and a thousand others, we will all miss him very much. It has been a privilege to have known him for seven years, first of all as a colleague, then as a partner and a friend. He brought to everything he did an attention to detail and a high level of accuracy and, at the same time, modesty and pragmatism in the face of the unknown. Aligned with humanism his actions were always guided by a profound sense of justice. Jean-Michel, himself, was affected through his family by what are called “orphan diseases” and he was particularly sensitive to the common values which presided over the foundation of our company and which we will continue to follow: the battle against rare diseases, respect for mankind, the search to bring effective therapeutic responses …. We will continue along the path that we started with Jean-Michel at the time of the creation of ADDMEDICA and his ever present memory will strengthen our determination to face the challenges of the future.
